REV. BURR EGGLESTON DIES.
Rev. Burr Eggleston, 82, died Wednesday morning in Osgood Infirmary, Brattleboro, after a long illness.
He was born June 29, 1869 in Gingham [that is Bingham], Pa., son of Edwin and Betsey Ann (Howe) Eggleston. He was married three times. His last marriage was to Miss Helen Malone, a former missionary to China, who died three years ago. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Virginia Foyse of Waverley, Mass.; a son, Seward Eggleston, of Middlebury, and three grandchildren.
He held pastorates in Pennsylvania, Bristol, Conn., and the Midwest. He was Superintendent of Columbus Smith Home in Salisbury several years before coming to Vernon Home to live. He was a member of [the] Advent Christian Church, South Vernon.
The funeral was to be held today at 2 p.m. in the church. and Rev. W. S. Bezanson will officiate. The burial will be in Tyler Cemetery.
