Winterville - Gary Martin Butler, 59, of Winterville, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2009.
A native of Clarke County, Mr. Butler was the son of the late Joseph and Henrietta Harris Butler. He was a carnival promoter.
Survivors include his aunt, Sara Fitzgerald of Birmingham, Ala.; cousins, Larry Fitzgerald and Betty Robinson, both of Athens, Ga., William Harris Jr. and Ronnie Harris, both of Winterville, Ga., and Rullie Harris of Seattle, Wash.; nephew, Robert Butler of Birmingham, Ala.; niece, Alison Groover of Montevallo, Ala.; great-nephews Bradley Groover and Zackary Butler; and great-niece, Lauren Groover.
Memorial services will be held 3 p.m., Saturday, March 21, at Bernstein Funeral Home with Rev. Ray Austin officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. - 3 p.m. prior to the service.
