She was the devoted mother of Kenneth R. Kinsey and Karen L. Young and her husband, Bruce R. Young Jr.
As a nurse in her younger years, Shirley shared her caring and generous personality to heal many people.
She also enjoyed camping, her grandchild, great-grandchildren, family, friends and pets. She was known to her friends and family for her dedication, generosity, and compassion.
Shirley was the beloved Mommom, Nanny, Guardian Angel to Kimberly Lynch and her husband, Michael, and their daughters: Grace Karen Haupt, Kailee Marie Lynch, and Abigail Leah Lynch - the loves of her life. She was the adopted Nanny to Bill, Alicia, Tracie, Hope, Walt, Barbara, and Ken. Not to be forgotten are her caregivers and nurturers, L'Vonne, Ashley, Quatonya, Toni and Lisa, who loved and tirelessly cared for her over the last several months.
She will be missed by her furbabies-Misty, Polly, Maddie, and grand-dog, Charlie-who she loved so much, being the compassionate animal lover that she was.
Service will be held on Sept. 26, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veteran's Memorial Cemetery.
