Charles was employed as a surveyor for Kenneth Mobley for 16 years. He was employed by Hexcel Manufacturing, worked briefly for Bruce Street, and until October 2010 was employed by Lawson Survey in Young County.
At time of death he was survived by his wife, Nancy Bishop of Graham, one son, Charles Bishop II of Abilene, two daughters, Michelle Gonzales and Heather Westerman of Graham, six grandchildren, April and Kellie Bishop, Colton and Eric Westerman of Graham, Chelsie and Chase Bishop of Abilene, mother, Betty Bishop and sister, Linda Andrews both of Mansfield.
Charles was preceded in death by his father, George Bishop of Mansfield, Texas and a younger brother, Jesse Bishop of Amarillo, Texas.
A memorial service was held Saturday, September 17, 2011 at 6:00pm at Bethel Baptist Church in Graham with Maurice Boucher and Toby Reedy officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home, Graham, Texas.
