Acclaimed Screenwriter. He began his career as an editor working at Esquire Magazine alongside Robert Benton, who in 1967 helped him to write the screenplay for the film, "Bonnie And Clyde" (for which he was nominated for an Academy Award). He also wrote for the films, "Trampa De Fu Manchu" (2002), "Takedown" (2000), "Michael Jackson: Moonwalker" (1988), "Santa Claus" (1985), "Sheena" (1984), "Superman III" (1983), "Jinxed!" (1982), "Still Of The Night" (1982), "Superman II" (1980), "Superman: The Movie" (1978), "Oh! Calcutta!" (1972), "Bad Company" (1972), "What's Up, Doc?" (1972), and "There Was A Crooked Man" (1970). Also a producer he worked on the films, "Marie And Bruce" (2004-to be released then), "Off The Map" (2003), "The Secret Lives Of Dentists" (2002), "The R.O.T.O.R" (1989), and "He Who Rides A Tiger" (1965).
