WALTER R. BARTHEL

Walter Barthel, 46, of the town of Centerville, died this morning at Sheboygan Memorial hospital after a short illness.
Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon, from the home at 1:30 o'clock and from the St. Peter and St. John Lutheran church at 2 o'clock with the Rev. M.A. Braun officiating. Interment will be in Saxon cemetery.

Mr. Barthel was born July 26, 1897 in the town of Centerville, a son of the late Henry and Catherina Barthel. He engaged in farming on the homestead farm. Survivors are one sister, Mrs. Alfred Jaehnig on the homestead; five
nieces; and one nephew. His father died June 20 of this year and his mother died in December, 1939. Three sisters and two brothers also preceded him in death.

The body may be viewed at the home from Friday evening to the time of the services. The casket will not be opened at church.
