John Huston Alexander was the son of Moses Lynton Alexander and Cynthia Ferguson, John Huston Alexander was born on June 25, 1850 in Missouri. John H. Alexander married Elizabeth Frances "Ethel" ? in about 1879 and had 7 children:

1. Rufus Alexander 1878-

2. Sarah A. Alexander 1880-

3.Lillie Maude Alexander July 8 1883 married Virgil Edward Marrs, and died June 12 1943

4.James Oscar Alexander Jan 21 1886 married Mabel Irene Marrs and had two sons
James later married Mabel Daisy Christy on April 15, 1918 in Oklahoma.

5.Leo William Alexander 1892 married Minnie Sue Brown (his stone says William "Leo" Alexander)
**** they had a daughter, Ina Maudell "Babe" Alexander 1935-2005

6.Arthur J/Young/Anthony Alexander 1894-1949 married Pearl ?

John Huston Alexander, along with his daughter-in-law Mabel Irene Marrs Alexander and her two sons, Marrs Walter Alexander and James Oscar Alexander died in a tornado that hit Bates County, Missouri on June 15, 1912. John H. Alexander died the next day. A total of 25 died from that event.

note:

The two eldest children, Rufus and Sarah A. Alexander were not mentioned in the 1900 Federal census records with the rest of the family.
