Jim loved the earth and was a master on a tractor at a very early age. Through this passion he was truly a modern pioneer of rural Southern California grading, excavation and land development. He was a grading contractor for 36 years, member of the California Dozers Group, International Operating Engineers Union Local 12 and owner operator of Johnson Grading for 27 years. Jim also performed fire brake line services for The California State Department of Forestry. On the day of his death Jim was on his Cat Dozer doing a job in Loma Linda, California. Jim Johnson is survived my his wife Peggy, brother Joseph, 2 sons, 3 daughters and 3 grandchildren.
