She was born in Midland, Texas, the daughter of the late Cladyne Cottrell Barrett and Leo Cy Staples.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Kent Richardson; her step-father, J. C. Barrett Sr. MSGT USAF (Ret); and maternal grandparents, Clay Rex Cottrell and Opal Robertson Cottrell.
She was also preceded in death by three uncles, Billy Rex Cottrell CWO-4 USN (Ret) of Kents Store, Monte B. Cottrell of El Cajon, California, and Donald H. Cottrell of Midland, Texas; three aunts, Ruth M. Cottrell of Iowa Park, Texas, Hazel C. Geissler of Kents Store, and Marianne C. Epps of Richmond; and one granddaughter, Meredith A. McLeod of Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
She is survived by two sisters, Monte B. "Betsy" Travis and Harley, of Gum Spring and Kay B. McLeod and Conrad of Weaverville, North Carolina; and three brothers, Barry D. Barrett, of Goochland, Clay Anthony Barrett and Brenda, of Louisa, and Steven H. Barrett and Brenda, of Kents Store.
She is also survived by her sweet-loving mother-in-law, Dorothy Martin Richardson; uncle-special friend, Michael V. Cottrell and Celeste, of Kents Store; aunts, Carol C. Childress of Kents Store, and Patricia C. Williams and Thomas T., of Richmond; uncles, David F. Cottrell MSG E-8 USA (Ret) and Terry, of Richmond, and Jerry L. Cottrell and Linda, of Englewood, Tennesse.
Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
Bobbi spent the majority of her career in the insurance industry in Administration and as an Independent Insurance Agent licensed in Life and Health, and Property and Casualty.
She loved reading and family. She had a special gift of sharing lives with family and friends and generously touched many, many lives.
Special gratitude for the extended devotion and care by family, friends and Hospice of Piedmont during this difficult time.

The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. Friday, August 19, 2011, at Sheridan Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 20, 2011, at Mount Gilead Baptist Church, Tabscott Road.
