Rosalie DeNeal, age 92, of Harrisburg, passed away at 8:40 PM, Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at the Carrier Mills Nursing Home.
She was born on April 20, 1919, in Harrisburg to the late Grover and Bertha (Johnson) Wise. On March 27, 1940, she married Robert DeNeal and he preceded her in death on August 16, 2003. Rosalie was a homemaker, a member of Rudement Social Brethren Church and the Womble Mountain Homemakers Extension for 50 years.
Surviving family members include two sons: Gary DeNeal and wife Judy; Gerald DeNeal and wife Cathy of Harrisburg, four grandchildren: Travis DeNeal and wife Sara, Brian DeNeal and wife Vicky: Hugh DeNeal; and Darin DeNeal and wife Marjorie; 2 Great-Grandchildren: Madeleine DeNeal and Wilson DeNeal and several nieces & nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10 AM, Saturday, August 13, 2011 at the Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. Rev. Carl Watkins will officiate. Burial will follow in Blockhouse Cemetery in Rudement. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 PM, Friday, August 12, 2011 at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg.
