Guy S. Adams, 71, R. 8, died at 12:30 a.m. today at the Bloomington Hospital.

He was a retired letter carrier for the Post Office and taught in the Monroe County schools for 27 years before going into postal service.

He was a veteran of W.W. I having served under the English command in Russia.

He was a member of the Clear Creek Church and Monroe Lodge 22 of the Free and Accepted Masons.

Adams is survived by his wife Mary M. Adams: three daughters, Mrs. Marjorie Chambers, Apoka, Fla., Mrs. Phillip (Mary Lee) Koontz, R. 8, and Mrs. Charles (Martha) Farmer , R. 8, two sons, David Adams, R. 5, and Jerry Adams, R. 8, a sister Mrs. Lloyd (Mae) Helton, R. 4,; a brother, Robert Perry Adams, Muncie; and 14 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Day Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Richard Hittle conducting the services. Burial will be in the Clear Creek Cemetery.

Friends may call at Day Funeral Home after 7:30 p.m. today.

The funeral wil be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Day Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Richard Hittle conducting the services. Burial will be in the Clear Creek Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Kenneth McConnell, William Adams, Jr., Ralph Wise, Kenneth Moat, Ray Koontz, Kenneth Dillard, William Heton, and Russell Deckard.
