Joanna Ruth Lynch, 82, of Cumberland, formerly of Frostburg, passed away surrounded by her family at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.
Born in Frostburg, she was the daughter of the late Richard Fram and Eleanor (Krause) Fram. She was preceded in death by her spouse, Paul E. Lynch and two brothers, Garner and Frank Fram.
Mrs. Lynch was retired from Frostburg State University. She was an avid bingo player and loved being with her family, especially her great-grandchildren. Joanna was an avid Allegany College and Laker basketball fan and enjoyed watching gymnastics and ice skating.
Surviving are her daughters, Sharon A. Lynch, of Cumberland, Brenda Gross and husband Wayne, of Oldtown, and Tina Hughes, of Frostburg; her twin sister, Charlotte Turner, of Cumberland; her brother Richard Fram and wife Margaret, of Barton; five Grandchildren, Jodie Garlitz, Hanson Gross and wife Bri, Shanna Gross, Cassie Yates and husband Scott, and Carrie Hughes; three great-grandchildren, Saylor, Jenna, amd Chole and a fourth expected in two weeks; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Her pallbearers will be Scott Yates, Jeremy Yates, Hanson Gross, John Garlitz, Ed Grabenstein, Lonnie Weaver.
