Mrs. Jessie Owens
Funeral services for Jessie OWENS, 69, of 908 Fairland Street, Benton, will
be at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home in Benton.
Burial will be in the Masonic and Odd Fellows Cemetery in Benton. Friends
may call after 3 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. OWENS died at 11:15 a.m. Wednesday in Franklin Hospital after a
lengthy illness.
She was born June 7, 1908, in Franklin County to George and Ida HOLDERFIELD
BEATTIE.
She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Benton and was a former
Sunday School teacher at the church. She was also a member of the Franklin
Hospital Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband, Fay L. OWENS; two brothers, Clyde and
Robert BEATTIE of Benton, and two sisters, Florine Visconi [sic] of Moline
and Winifred McKURTIS of Sierraville, California.
