Arvada A. Baker

Arvada A. Baker, 85, formerly of Mount Union, died Friday, Sept. 11, 1987, at 8:30 p.m. at the home of her grandson Edwin Baker, Middlefield, Ohio, where she had been rsiding for the past three years. She had been in failing health.

She was born Feb. 11, 1902, as Rockhill Furnace, the daughter of George and Lottie (Wareham) Wennick. She was united in marriage to Zane Baker who preceded her in death.

She is survived by two sons, J. Harold Baker of Bedford, Ohio, and Clinton H. "Bun" Baker of Torrence, Ca. There are two grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

One brother, Floyd Wennick of Baltimore, Md., survives. She was preceded in death by another brother, Clinton Wennick.

Mrs. Baker was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mount Union.

She was a retired employee of Greif Bros. Manufacturing of Mount Union after 44 years of service.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday,Sept. 15, at the Robert D. Heath Funeral Home, Mount Union, the Rev. O.C. Metzger officiating. Interment will be made at the Rockhill IOOF Cemetery.

Friends will be received at the funeral home this evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday morning from 9 a.m. until the hour of the service.
