Donald William Serra, 76, of Chula Vista died Oct. 10. He was born in Boston and was a retired electronics technician and instructor in the Navy. He was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars. He was a member of the Fleet Reserve and the American Legion.

Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Serra; daughters, Linda Collins of Ogden, Utah, Evelyn Frazier of Escondido, Michele Serra-Daily of Brigham City, Utah, and Denny Serra of Chula Vista; son, Donald Serra of Kwajalein, Marshall Islands; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services have been held. Donations Salvation Army, 648 Third Ave., Chula Vista, CA; or Vitas Hospice of San Diego, 8880 Rio San Diego Drive, Suite 950, San Diego, CA. Arrangements Humphrey Mortuary.
