Mattie Anders age 77 of Galveston died Wednesday, February 6, 2002 at her residence in Galveston. Funeral services are set for 11:00 am Tuesday, February 12, 2002 at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home with the Reverend Wilfred A. Colbert and Reverend Leonard Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Galveston. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Monday with a wake service to be held from 7:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Born November 25, 1924 in Boyce, Louisiana to Cleve Harris and Rosie McNeil Harris, Mrs. Anders was a Lab Technician at UTMB Hospital with 47 years of service. She was a faithful mother and sister, and of the Christian faith.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 sisters, a brother, a grandson, and step mother, Ethel Taylor Harris. Survivors include a daughter, sons, sister, step brother, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of nieces and nephews family and friends.

Born November 25, 1924 in Boyce, Louisiana to Cleve Harris and Rosie McNeil Harris, Mrs. Anders was a Lab Technician at UTMB hospital with 47 years of service. She was a faithful mother and sister, and of the Christian
faith.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters, a brother, a grandson, and step mother, Ethel Taylor Harris.
