SOUTH TAHOE, Nevada -- Jan Louise Garrett Hunter, 40, died suddenly Thursday, July 6, 2000, in South Tahoe, Nevada, from the results of an in-home accident.

She was born May 6, 1960, in Logan, Utah, the daughter of Sid and Lois Van Noy Garrett.

Jan spent her happiest years growing up in River Heights, Utah.

At the age of 12 she moved to Salt Lake City with her family. She graduated from Brighton High School, where she was an active participant in school drama and was a member of the golf team.

She continued her interest in golf throughout her short life.

She was a member of the LDS Church.

Survivors include: father, Sid (Jenele) Garrett; husband, David Hunter, Carmel, California; children: Sydney, Park City, Utah; Christopher, Salt Lake City, Utah; and step- children, Robbie and Megan Hunter, Carmel, CA.

She also leaves a host of friends throughout the West.

Her mother and two brothers, David and Rick, preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 13, 2000 in the Allen-Hall Mortuary Chapel, 34 East Center Street, Logan, Utah, at 12 Noon.

Friends may call the mortuary on Wednesday, July 12 from 6:30-8 p.m. and Thursday morning one hour prior to services.
