Daughter of William Berry and Etta Meggs Lundy, wife of George Harry Andrews.


Mrs. Eloise Lundy Andrews, 86, widow of George H. Andrews and formerly of Marion, died Monday, June 6, 2011, at her home after an illness.

Mrs. Andrews, a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, was born July 30, 1924, in Dillon County, a daughter of the late William Berry and Etta Meggs Lundy. She was formerly employed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture Soil and Conservation Agency. Mrs. Andrews was a member of First United Methodist Church of Marion.

Mrs. Andrews' surviving family includes two daughters, Sherry A. (Jim) Waddell of Kernersville, N.C., and Denise A. Shepard of Florence; a son, Tony (Jerrie) Andrews of Winston-Salem, N.C.; 5 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Andrews was predeceased by six brothers, Elwood Lundy, Earl Lundy, Charles Lundy, Willard Lundy, Julian P. Lundy and Howard G. Lundy and four infant siblings.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon, June 11, in the First United Methodist Church of Marion Sanctuary, with the Rev. Joe Long officiating. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, directed by Smith-Collins Funeral Home of Marion.
