Graveside services for Benjamin Dave Windom, 59, of Rt.1, Whitney were held Saturday, January 4, 1986 at Bethlehem Cemetery. Eddie Booth officiated. Marshall and Marshall of Whitney was in charge of arrangements.
Born Dec. 14, 1926 in Brownwood, Texas. He was a retired automotive mechanic, served in the U.S. Navy during World War two and lived most of his life in the Fort Worth area before moving to Whitney 20 years ago.
Survivors include: his mother, Viola Mae Windom of Ft. Davis, Texas; one son, Ben Windom of Whitney; 4 daughters, Maybelle Lynn Smith of Weatherford, Sherry Ann Emerson of Burleson, Bennidene Steveson of New Braunfels, and Joanna Cornwell of Fort Worth; 2 sisters, Wilma Matthews of Ft. Davis and Merlene Patterson of Houston; 11 grandchildren.
