Richard Orville Agers, Sr., 65, of Alton, Mo., was born May 11, 1939, in Madison County, Ill., and died March 1, 2005, at Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains, Mo.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Agers of Alton, seven children -- Richard Agers Jr., Elizabeth Reeves and Jack Agers all of Alton, Markie Agers Sr., and Joseph Agers, both of Granite City, Ill., Belinda Bromley of Blooming-ton, Ill., and Ashley Agers of Antioch, Ill.; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Richard Stanley Agers and Alma Jesse Richards Agers; a son, Mark; and two grandchildren.
The funeral was March 7 in Clary Chapel with Doc Barton officiating. Interment was in Smith Cemetery with arrangements by Clary Funeral Home.
