SERVICES TODAY
Funeral services for Austin F. Seagler, 47, of Route 6, Palestine, will be held at 3 p.m. today in the Hassell & Foster Chapel. Archie Waldrum will officiate and burial will be in the Tennessee Colony Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Tucker Farris, Rush Herrington, Willard Neal, Jimmie Farris, Calvin Calcote, Jack Calcote, Max Pyle and Gene Napoleon.
Mr. Seagler died in a local hospital at 10 a.m. Saturday from injuries received in an automobile accident near Tennessee Colony Friday morning. He was born in Tennessee Colony on January 14, 1914, and was associated with the Tucker Farris Garage.
Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Grace Ward Seagler of Palestine; one son, Dwaine Seagler of Grapeland; two daughters, Mfrs. Clifton Bennett of Crockett, Miss Carolyn Seagler of Grapeland; his mother, Mrs. Claude W. Seagler of Tennessee Colony; four step sons, George Magee, James Roy Magee, M. Lloyd Magee and Bill Magee, all of Palestine; two step daughters, Miss Marie Magee and Miss Sue Magee, both of Palestine; three brothers, B. W. Seagler of Tennessee Colony, Claude L. Seagler of the Canary Islands, and four sisters, Mrs. D. S. Calcote and Mrs. Claude Poole, both of Palestine, Mrs. Wilma Russell and Mrs. Emma Tucker, both of Montalba.
The body will be at Hassell & Foster until after services.
