Andrew P. Zeser dies this morning

Andrew P. (Andy) Zeser, 95, of 804 High-Street, well-known Decatur resident and retired General Electric Co. employee, died at 5 a.m. today at the Friendly Nursing Home, Huntington, where he had been a patient since last September.

Born in Tiffin, O., Dec. 7, 1874, he was a son of Peter and Elizabeth Lichtle-Zeser, and had resided in this community for many years. He was married to Martha Warnament Jan. 6, 1907.

Mr. Zeser was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Holy Name Society and the Loyal Order of Mooses.

Surviving is his wife; two daughters, Mrs. George (Ursula) Stults of Decatur, and Mrs. Everette (Marie) Studabaker of Fort Wayne Route 1; one brother, Dan Zeser of Decatur; one sister, Mrs. Edward (Margaret) Engleking; one granddaughter, Mrs. Arthur Hurst, Jr., of Decatur; and five great-grandchildren. Two sons, one daughter, six brothers and two sisters are deceased.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Rt. Rev. Msgr. Simion Schmitt officiating. Burial will be in the Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gillig-Doan & Sefton Funeral home after 12 noon Friday until time of the services. The Moose Lodge will hold memorial services at 7 p.m. Friday and the rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Friday.
