Wallace L. "Walt" Minnick died Sunday, Dec. 10, 2000 at Pioneer Nursing Home at the age of 87. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home. Minnick was born on July 22, 1913 in Yale to Herman H. and Stella (Praither) Minnick. He married Arnie Clymer on June 30, 1937 in Chandler. Minnick had worked for employee of Amarada Oil Company. He was a veteran of the US Navy and a member of the Christian Church and the Masonic Lodge. Minnick was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Kenyon Minnick; and one sister, Juanita LaDoris Minnick. He is survived by his wife of the home; one brother, Raymond Minnick of Hobbs, N.M.; and several other relatives.
