Marie K. Ethridge, 77, passed away on May 8, 1999 following a brief illness. She was born on October 23, 1921 in Waco, Texas to Fred and Rosie McDonald. Marie was a member of the Kingsville, Church of Christ, the Elks Ladies Auxiliary, and an avid golfer and bridge player, Her Loving family and many friends who were her extended family will miss Marie dearly-she never knew a stranger.
She is preceded in death by her husband: Dr. Elmore Ethridge, her parents, and a brother, Bobby McDonald.
She is survived by a son: Davis (Sherry) Ethridge of Austin, a daughter: Merrie Kay (Tom) Bohannon of Georgetown; four grandchildren: Sarah Ethridge of New York City, Adrian and Christian Ethridge both of Austin; Riley Dunn of Georgetown; one Great-grandchild: Dylan Ethridge of Austin; three sisters; Freddie (Johnny) Ludwig, Virginia Lewis, and Patty (C C) Chadwick all of the Dallas area; two nieces, four nephews, and several cousins.
Services were at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, May 11, 1999 at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel in Kingsville, with Pastor Tim Bennett of the Kingsville Church of Christ officiating. Burial in Kingsville Resthaven Cemetery. The Pallbearers were Christian Ethridge, Len Dar, Al Piapkowski, Mike Klepac, J.J. Johnson, and Michael Martin.
