THOMAS RICHARD HAMME, JR., son of Princess Louise Hamme and Thomas Richard Hamme,Sr.,was born on October 30, 1943 in Henderson, North Carolina. He departed this life on September 2, 2003 at the Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, New Jersey following a lengthy illness.

THOMAS was longtime member of the Concord Baptist Church in Kittrell, North Carolina from his childhood days until the early 1960s. After coming to New Jersey and working many years as a professional long distance truck driver, he worshiped regularly in numerous churches in New Jersey and New York.

He leaves to mourn his passing: his five children, Sherlene, Larquetta, Richard, Trian, Thomas III; his mother, Princess Louise Hamme; six sisters, Thelma, Artelia, Mattie, Myra, Effie and Laura; three brothers, Emerson, Willie and Kelvin, all of New Jersey. He is also survived by and leaves to mourn Lue Helen Hamme and Pearle Hamme, a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, in-laws and friends.

THOMAS (Tommie) was very well loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed.

He joins in eternity his oldest son, James T. Hamme, who predeceased him in 2000.

GOD saw the road was getting rough, the hills were hard to climb. He gently closed those loving eyes and whispered, "Peace be thine." Your weary hours, your days of pain, your sleepless nights are past. Your ever patient, worn out frame has found sweet peace at last.
