OBITUARY:
Rebecca K. "Becky" Gehling, 23, of Londonderry, NH died on April 13, 2011 at her home with her mother, Frances "Fran" M. Gehling, as the result of a house fire. Becky was born in Manchester, NH on September 21, 1987, a daughter of Jack D. Gehling and Frances (Felder) Gehling. Becky was a lifelong resident of Londonderry and graduated from Londonderry High School in 2005. She later attended Keene State College where she was a member of the Tau Phi Xi Sorority.
Becky was a yoga enthusiast, enjoyed all types of music, and took special interest in drawing, painting and most recently making jewelry. She maintained special relationships with many high school friends, her sorority sisters and her co-workers at Bank of America in Derry, considering them all part of her family. Becky was simply a joy, with a contagious giggle in an overly serious world. She was an upbeat, vibrant person, who loved many and was loved in return. Becky's road was a winding one, with pull-offs both challenging and joyous; her family was proud and excited to see her taking more and more control of her destiny.
Becky is survived by her father, Jack D. Gehling of Londonderry, her two brothers, Josh Gehling and his wife Lyndsey of Londonderry, and Jesse Gehling of Portsmouth, NH, her paternal grandparents, John and Madge Gehling of Grand Rapids, MI, her niece, Jamie Gehling of Londonderry, also many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Calling hours for Becky and her mother Fran will be held Monday April 18th from 3pm to 8pm at the Peabody Funeral Homes, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday at 1:00pm at the Pillsbury Cemetery, Londonderry. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Fran and Becky Gehling Trust Fund, Bank of America, 57 Crystal Ave., Derry, NH 03038.
