Funeral services for Joseph Szulta, 39, a member of the Milwaukee fire department for 12 years, will be held Thursday at 9 a.m. at his residence, 3278 N. Seventh st. and at 9:30 a.m. at St. Elizabeth's Catholic church, N. Second and W. Burleigh sts. Burial will be in Holy Cross cemetery.
Last year he had been with Engine Company 25 but the rest of his service had been with Engine Company 8. He belonged to the Milwaukee Fire Department association, the Milwaukee Fire Fighting union and the Polish National alliance.
Surviving are his wife, Mary, and three children, Roman and Mildred Szulta and Florence Meyer. Five sisters and three brothers also survive.
