Jose G. "Chicho" Acosta, age 38, was reunited with his son, Octavio, Monday May 11, 2009. A devoted husband and loving father, son, brother, and friend to many; he will be fondly remembered by all. Chicho had been living in Yuma, Arizona for the last 2 years, and was previously a long time resident of Gonzales. He was employed in construction.
He is survived by his wife, Candelaria Villegas; daughter, Tania Acosta; sons, Damian and Fabian Acosta all of Yuma, AZ; parents, Juan and Magdalena Acosta of Gonzales; brothers, Justo Acosta of Castroville and Juan Carlos of Gonzales; sisters, Norma Acosta and Rosa Acosta, both of Soledad; cousin, Rafael Acosta of Salinas; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his teenage son, Octavio Acosta Villegas.
