Alfonso B. Garcia, 62, born to this life on December 22, 1948 in Albuquerque, NM and departed this life on Friday, April 1, 2011 after a courageous battle with pancreatic and liver cancer. Mr. Garcia leaves behind his loving wife of thirty-five years until they meet again, Viola Garcia; daughter, Sarah Garcia; sisters, Mary Sanchez, Margaret Lovato and fiance, Anthony Ruiz; brothers, Procopio Garcia and wife, Sally, Manuel Garcia, and Pablo Herrera and wife, Viola; two grandchildren, sister-in-law, Jennie Garcia, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Mr. Garcia was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew him. Mr. Garcia was preceded in death by his parents, Miguel Garcia from Estancia, NM and Isabel Garcia from Manzano, NM; daughter, Tina Louise Garcia, and brother, Luis Garcia from Pico Rivera, CA. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at San Jose Catholic Church, 2401 Broadway SE, with a Rosary to be recited at 10:00 a.m., Mass of Christian Burial will follow the Rosary at 11:00 a.m. Interment of cremains will follow at San Jose de Armijo Cemetery.
