Born on the head right on the Lavaca river. She was the first girl born in DeWitt's colony in Central Texas. Went to Rutersville College the first year of the first college in Texas. She was in the Runaway Scrape from Peach Creek, Gonzales County, to Buffalo Bayou. She is one of the main characters in the book 'True Women' by Janice Woods Windle.
