MARY F. RUNYON PHELPS

HANNIBAL ­ Mary F. Runyon Phelps, 71, of Hannibal, died at 1:05 p.m. Sept. 20, 1999, at Hannibal Regional Hospital.
. Funeral services for Mrs. Phelps will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal. The Rev. W.R. Willis will officiate. Burial will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Hannibal.
. Mrs. Phelps was born Nov. 22, 1927, in Frankford to Chancey E. Renyon Sr. and Lillie F. Johnson Runyon.
. She was married to Durward Saxbury. He preceded her in death. She was later married to Gilbert Cox. He also preceded her in death. She was married to Jess J. Phelps on June 16, 1994, in Hannibal. He survives.
. Other survivors include one daughter, Donna Lucki of Hannibal; five sons, Roy Clark, Robert Saxbury, Larry Saxbury and Randy Joe Saxbury, all of Hannibal and Vernon Saxbury of Palmyra; one stepson, Gilbert R. Cox of Hannibal; two brothers, Jesse Runyon of Hannibal and Chancey Runyon Jr. of Louisiana; six sisters, Ruby Hopkins of Eolia, Trudy Kliene of Perry, Helen Threlkeld of Eldridge, Iowa, and Edna Bush, Ruth Ann Treaster and Esther Glover, all of Hannibal; 23 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
. She was preceded in death by three brothers, James Allen Runyon, Lewis Runyon and Joe Runyon.
. Mrs. Phelps worked at International Shoe Company for 16 years and retired as a nurses aide. She was a Pentecostal by faith.
. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
. Pallbearers will be Shadley Schierbaum, Terry Whitaker, Randy Saxbury, Phil Scott, Wayne Smith, Roy Lee Clark Jr., Michael Saxbury, Michael Cox and Marcus Saxbury.
