Martha Frances was the fifth child of Frances and Edward Maxwell. Unfortunately she only lived for just under 2 years. At that time she was survived by her parents and four older siblings: Mary Isabel, Fisk Edward, Robert Alexander, and Nora Cecille Maxwell. She was also survived by her half-brother, Marion Barron Allewine.
