Gustave Charles Liebelt, age 93, died January 11, 2000 in Salt Lake City, Utah, with his family at his side.

He was born May 20, 1906 in Salt Lake City to Gustav Karl and Emma Schmidlin Liebelt. He married Blanche Maybell Pyper September 1, 1933 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Dad will be remembered for the love of his family, the gospel, music and photography. He served as a devoted temple worker for over 20 years.

Surviving are one son and three daughters, Carole LaFee-Poston (John) of Las Vegas, NV; Bruce P. Liebelt (Dixie) of West Lake Village, CA; Joan Glissmeyer-Sheffield (Lynn) of Salt Lake City; Francine Jarman-Hofmann (Jim) of Springville, UT; 15 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren.

He leaves a living reflection of Christ-like qualities by setting an example of unconditional love and patience for everyone.

Funeral services will be at 12 noon on Saturday, Jan. 15, 2000 at the Monument Park 4th Ward, 2215 E. Roosevelt Ave, SLC. Friends and family may call on Friday 4-6 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 So. Highland Drive, and on Saturday, 10:45-11:45 a.m. prior to services at the ward. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. Funeral directors, Wasatch Lawn Mortuary.
