Bennett Services Will Be Held At Eakly Tuesday
Funeral services for Grady Bennett, Oklahoma City, a brother of Mrs. C.D. Hammons of Carnegie, will be held Tuesday at Eakly. Military services will be held at the cemetery.
Bennett died Tuesday night after a brief critical illness. He had been in ill health several months.
He is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Hammons of Carnegie, Mrs. Mildred Hicks, Eakly; Mrs. Willie McLemore, Tulare, Calif., Mrs. Annie Ater, Arkansas City; and a son, Darrell Bennett of California.

Grady Bennett Funeral Is Held At Eakly Tuesday
Funeral services for Grady Bennett, Oklahoma City, a brother of Mrs. C.D. Hammons of Carnegie, were held at 2:30 Tuesday afternoon at the Eakly Methodist church. Rev. Jesse Haney, pastor, officiated. Military services were held at the Eakly cemetery.
Bennett, who had been ill for several months, died Tuesday night, June 24, in Veterans' hospital only the day before his death. He was a veteran of World War II. He was born in 1911 at Bessie, Oklahoma.
Survivors are: one son, Derrell Bennett of Huntington Beach, Calif.; four sisters, Mrs. Hammons of Carnegie, Mrs. Mildred Hicks, Eakly, Mrs. Willie McLemore, Tulare, Calif., and Mrs. Annie Ater, Arkansas City; and one brother, Roy Bennett.
