Charles Lenard(sic) Lewis, age 84 years, of Hallieford, died in a Wilmington, Del., hospital Tuesday.
Surviving him are two daughters, Mrs. Nora Cullison, Weehauken, N. J., and Mrs. C. F. Sadler, Hallieford; four sons, Charles Lewis, Wilmington, Del.; Frank Lewis, Hudgins; Nelson Lewis, of Grimstead, and James L. Lewis, Solomon's Island, Md.; a sister, Mrs. E. L. Hunley, Hallieford; and three brothers, Martin, of Mobjack; Curtis and Ernest Lewis of Hallieford.
Mr. Lewis was a member of the Mathews Baptist church, and a charter member of Mathews Council Jr. O.U.A.M., No. 82. His remains were brought (t)o Forrest Funeral Home Wednesday and funeral services will be held at the Mathews Baptist church, Saturday at 11 a.m., conducted by the pastor, Rev. R. G. Kendrick. Interment was made in the family cemetery at Hallieford.
