Olive Brose, 96, of 1015 Dover St. N.E., a long time resident of Cedar Rapids, died at her home, Tuesday, March 12. She was born the daughter of Peter and Mary Ann Murney St. Martin on Aug. 5, 1888 at Cadott, Wis. On Dec. 6, 1919 at St. Paul, Minn., she was married to William Brose. He died March 1, 1959 at Cedar Rapids. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids. Surviving are three daughters, Johanna Goyer of Cedar Rapids, Rosie Berger of Castro Valley, Calif. and Clara Dye of Toddville; one son, Carl Brose of Marion; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 15, at the Murdoch Funeral Home in Marion, conducted by the Rev. Carolyn A. Myers. Interment was in Cedar Memorial Park. A memorial fund has been established.
