Of the 15 surviving children that grew to adult hood of Isaac Robert Grier and Elizabeth Berry, 7 had brown eyes 7 had blue eyes, but it is said Mary had 1 blue eye and 1 brown eye. Some people show Robert Elliott & Mary Alice Paltine as twins. I don't think they were twins. This I get from the 1874 news artical on the "Quads" memorial. It's about the Quad girls born in 1869 and twin girls born in 1870 10 months 5 days apart, and then it mentions the twins born in 1866. As this story was being written she was carring another set of twins born in Nov of 1874.
