REVERAND FATHER FRANCIS C. BARRY

The Rev. Francis Barry, one of the best known of the younger Catholic Priests of this diocese, died suddenly at 2:30 o'clock this afternoon at St. Joseph,s Hospital from a stroke. He had entered the hospital this morning.
Father Barry, 38, had been a Priest two & one-half years. He was a native of St. Joseph and was educated at St. Patrick's school and at St. Benedict's College, Atchison, at Conception College, Conception, MO, and in Denver & St. Louis.
He was the son of the late, Mr. & Mrs. Michael J. Barry, oldtimer St. Joseph residents. Surviving are three brothers and three sisters, M. J. Barry of the St. Joseph Gas Co., Tracy Barry of the Barry Mortuary, Mrs. Nellie Wise, Mrs. Agnes Larson & Miss Lillian Barry.
With Father Barry at the time of his death was Bishop Charles F. Buddy of the diocese of San Diego, a St. Joseph visitor who gave him last rites of the Catholic church. Funeral arrangements have not yet been made.
