Barbara Jean Brown was the daughter of Luther and Betty (Bening) Clark born on Monday, August 4, 1947 in Oakland, California.

Barbara married Tom Brown in Livermore, CA on May 25, 1965. Upon Tom's retirement from the Coast Guard, they moved to Newberg where they have lived and raised their family for the last twenty-eight years. Barbara enjoyed spending time with her family. She assisted with the daily operations of the family business at Ye Old Pizza. Barbara was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

On Tuesday, January 11, 2011, Barbara Jean Brown died at a Portland hospital when she was sixty-three years, five months and seven days of age.

Surviving and left to honor her life are: her husband Tom Brown of Newberg; four sons, Matthew of Redding, California, Nathaniel of Newberg, Jeffrey of Tucson, Arizona, and Curtis of Newberg; her daughter Becky Gundersen of Dundee; two brothers Ronald Clark of Austin, Texas and Robert Clark of Yakima, Washington; ten grandchildren; one niece, three nephews and those who have come to know and appreciate her where she has lived and worked.

Her Funeral Service will be Saturday, January 22, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in Newberg Christian Church with Chaplain Bill Larson officiating. Committal Service will be Monday, January 24, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in Willamette National Cemetery, Portland. Arrangements are in the care of Attrell's Newberg Funeral Chapel, a Golden Rule Funeral Home.

A funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011, in Newberg Christian Church. A committal service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 24, in Willamette National Cemetery. Arrangements by Attrell's Newberg Funeral Chapel.
