Suggested edit: Mrs. Earl (Rhoda Ellen) Cobb, 80, died at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, April 7, 1977, at Kewanee Public Hospital where she had been a patient several days.
She was born at Princeville October 12, 1896, a daughter of Jackson and Ellen Leaverton.
She married Earl J. Cobb on December 25, 1919. He preceded her in death.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. James (Velma) Durbin and Mrs. Calvin (Hazel) Fritz of Toulon and Mrs. Martin (Doris) Chase of Alexandria, Virginia; and one son, Delwin Cobb of Peoria, two sisters, Mrs. Mabel LaMay and Miss Elvira Leaverton, both of Toulon, 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters and one brother.
She was a member of the First Church of Christ Scientist of Kewanee. She was a member of the Toulon Chapter of Order of Eastern Star and a member of the Toulon Women’s Club and the Literature Department.
Services were held at the Kidd Funeral Home on Saturday, April 9, with visitation one hour before the services.
Burial was in the Toulon Cemetery.
