The family will receive friends 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Hartsell Funeral Home, Concord.
Funeral services 3 p.m. Thursday at Cold Springs United Methodist Church, Concord. The Rev. Randy Wall and the Rev. Raymond Davis will officiate. Burial will be at Cold Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery, Concord. Military rites will be conducted by DAV Chapter 27.
Pallbearers are Joshua Wood, Matthew Buchanan, Cecil Allman, Reese Untz, Al Maxwell and Rick Barnhardt.
The family meeting place is the residence, 2723 Cold Springs Road, Concord.
Mr. Barnhardt was born April 14, 1920, a son of Martin Luther Barnhardt and Mary Winecoff Barnhardt. He had been a supervisor at Cannon Mills. Mr. Barnhardt was a member of Cold Springs United Methodist Church and was a Sunday school teacher for 40 years. He was a charter member of the Cabarrus Gold Nuggets and a member of the Good Sam Club for 30 years.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
Mr. Barnhardt is survived by his wife, Hilda Henley Barnhardt of Concord; sons, C. Frank Barnhardt Jr. and wife, Cindy of Concord and Gary W. Barnhardt and wife, Sandra of Coats; sisters, Gertrude Birch and Katherine Aldridge both of Concord; brother; Henry Barnhardt of Concord; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
