A native of the Morrison community, Mr. Gabathuler was born February 21, 1897, to John and Anna Humburg Gabathuler. He was married March 7, 1918, to Lillian Spreckelmeyer, the couple settling on a farm near Berger, where Mr. Gabathuler spent most of his life. He was retired from farming and lived at his home on Hermann Route for three years. He died there Wednesday. He was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church near Berger and of the Modern Woodmen of America.
Surviving his one daughter, Mrs. Herbert (Edith) Schulte of St. Louis; and three grandchildren. His wife and one daughter, Mrs. Merle (Margaret) Schroer predeceased him.
