Mr. Edward F. "Ed" Hudson, III, 89, of Pascagoula, Miss., died Wednesday, February 12, 2003, in Pascagoula.
Ed retired from Ingalls Shipbuilding in 1976 as a Quality Assurance Hull Inspector. He was a WWII veteran. Mr. Hudson was a member of the VFW, Knights of Columbus Fourth Degree, and Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward J. Hudson, Jr., and Augusta Hudson; two brothers, Mack II, Sr., and Bernard J. Hudson; two sisters, Grace Maxted and Edith Olivia Hudson.
Survivors include his wife, Celestine Hudson of Pascagoula; one son, Edward F. (Judy) Hudson IV of Pascagoula; one daughter, Barbara (Vince) Ruta of Gautier; one sister, Melanie Dupont of Pascagoula; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday, Feb. 13, from 6 to 9 p.m., with Rosary recited at 7 p.m., at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula. Funeral service will be held Friday, Feb. 14, at Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church at 10 a.m. with Father Gerard Cleary officiating. Pallbearers will be Drew Hudson, Vince Ruta, Robert Crawford, Eric Whitfield, John and Jessie Hudson.
Interment will be in Jackson County Memorial Park, Pascagoula. Arrangements by O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Pascagoula, Miss.
