Abraham Balzer
Abraham Balzer 80, a retired farmer, died this morning at his home, 430 SE 8th.
He was born Sept. 24, 1888 in rural Whitewater, the son of Peter and Effie Balzer.
Mr. Balzer married Ida Gaede at Hillsboro on Oct. 5, 1913
He was a member of the Grace Hill Mennonite Church and Harvey County Senior Citizens.
In addition to his widow, survivors include 3 sons, Arnold A and Frank E. of Newton and Howard M. of Potwin; 1 daughter Edna Jane Nickel of Buhler; 2 brothers Peter of Moundridge and Isaac of Newton; 17 grandchildren and 8 great-grand children.
Funeral services will be hel at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Grace Hill Mennonite Church. The Revs. E. J. Miller and Hubert Miller will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Draper's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
