Marcia B. Aalbers, age 70, died Sunday, May 20 at Marian Health Center in Sioux City.

Marcia Bernice was born Feb. 23, 1920 in Plymouth County, the daughter of Mike Foreman and Hattie Reinders Foreman. She was raised in the Seney area.

On June 20, 1941, she married Egbert John "Bud" Aalbers at Seney. They farmed east of Alton.

For 20 years she was a nurse's aide at the Heritage House Nursing Home in Orange City, retiring a few years ago.

She was a very active member of the Alton Reformed Church, especially Reformed Church Women and the church choir. She was also a member of the Farm Bureau Chorus, Northwestern College Women's Auxiliary and Floyd Post 200 American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, Nicholas and his wife Sandra M. of Des Moines and their children, Sarah of San Francisco, Calif., and Marnie of Minneapolis, Minn.; Michael and his wife Gena and their children, Melissa, Mitchell and Jessica all of Alton; and David L. and his wife Ronda and their children, Brady, Breanne and Brent all of Orange City; and two brothers and a sister, Edward Foreman of Sioux Center, Betty deHaas of Silver Spring, Md., and Marvin Foreman of Lakewood, Calif.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jacob and John Foreman.

Memorials are being directed to the World Home Bible League.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 23 at the Alton Reformed Church with the Revs. Raymond Tilstra and Robert Vander Schaaf officiating. Interment followed at Nassau Township Cemetery near Alton, under the direction of the Van Etten-Oolman-Van Gelder Funeral Home of Orange City.
