Anna Irwin, 94 year old Woodward resident, died Thursday, December 9, 2010 at her home in Woodward. Funeral services will be held at 10am Monday, December 13, 2010 at the Mutual United Methodist Church with the Reverend Jeff Ralston officiating. Graveside services will be held at 3pm in the Ninnekah Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.

Anna Juanita (Heath) Irwin was born on April 27, 1916 on the family farm in Grady County, Oklahoma to John Quincy and Isabell Marie (Charlston) Heath. She was reared in Grady County and attended a rural country school. Anna was united in marriage to Okland Keith (OK or Jack) Irwin on January 29, 1933 in Chickasha, Oklahoma. They were blessed with seven children, Reece Marland, Jack, A.D., Carl, Barbara Ann, Sonja, and Neta. They made their home southwest of Chickasha in Grady County before moving to Woodward in 1957. Anna was a wife and homemaker as well as a care giver for the elderly and she cared for many children.

She was a member of the Elm Street Baptist Church. She enjoyed embroidery, crocheting, cooking and serving at the Elm Street's Church free clothing service. Anna loved being with her family and friends, especially her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her three sons, Jack Irwin and wife Sue of Mutual, A.D. "Chuck" Irwin and wife Barbara of Woodward, Carl Irwin and wife Carol of El Reno; two daughters, Sonja Peach and Terry Peach of Mooreland, Neta Irwin and husband Rick La Guardia of Fountain Hills, Arizona; three brothers, John F. Heath of Hugo, David L. Heath of California, George T. Heath of Oklahoma City; sister-in-law, Audrey Irwin, sister-in-law, Virginia Heath; 22 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents, John and Isabell Heath, her husband, Ok Irwin, one son, Reece Marland Irwin, one daughter, Barbara Ann Stovall, sisters, Cora Jo Tate, Marie Bobo, brothers, Arnold L. Heath and AJ Heath, and three grandsons, Jerry Irwin, Keith Stovall and Kevin Aaron.

Memorial contributions may be made by taking food, clothing, toys or money to the Northwest Domestic Crisis Center in honor of Anna Irwin.
