He was a lifelong resident of Smith County and was a graduate of Winona Public Schools. He was United in Holy Matrimony to Mrs. Elsie Bell (Hampton) on December 26 ,1934 in Smith County . He retired from Combined Underwriters Company as a Insurance Agent . He was a member of New Zion Baptist Church Of (Winona ,Tx. ). He was preceded in death by his Parents : Mr. William Claudy Hampton and Mrs. Minnie Roberta Wells (Hampton). His Wife : Mrs. Elsie Bell (Hampton). Survivors Include Two Sons: Mr. Otis Hampton Jr. of ( Tyler,Tx.) and Mr. Van Hampton, ( Ann Arbor, Michigan). One Daughter Mrs. Helen (Hampton) Howard of Tyler, Texas. Three Brothers: Mr. Calvin Hampton , Mr. Billy Hampton , both of (Hawkins ,Tx.) and Mr. Clement Hampton, of ( Mount Pleasant, Tx.) and Three Sisters : Arnetta Jones , of (Tyler, Tx.) Mrs. Josephine Brills , of ( Port Arthur ) and Mrs. Ruby Taylor of (Hawkins Tx.).
