George was the son of Timothy & Mary " Barrows" Boucher.He married Sarah May, June 4, 1863 in Franklin Co., Ohio.They had 10 children, Willie,Mary Elizabeth, Henriettie, Charles E, Henry Ellsworth,George Edward, Ella may,Albert Ross, Martha Viola, and Harley Oliver Boucher.Willie, Henriettie and Martha all died as infants and are buried in Franklin Co.,Ohio.All the other children moved to Kansas.

George was in the E Co. 1st Cav Reg. Ohio, during the Civil War and fought in many battles.

George, Sarah and family moved to Butler Co., Kansas in 1885.

George E. Boucher died at the home of his son, Henry Boucher, seven miles north of town( Augusta), Thursday
morning at 9 o'clock.Deceased was 67 years old and died of Paralysis. He had been in poor health for several months but his condition was not considered serious until Monday(September 5, 1904).
