Mrs. Elizabeth (Busby) Brackin was born January 31, 1846 and died February 6, 1914, in her home in Algonquin, aged 68 years and 6 days. She was united in marriage to Cornelius Brackin, August 17, 1864, who departed this life November 16, 1875. To this union three children were born, all of whom survive: Mrs. Howard Strayer, of Scio; Mrs. Homer Marshall, of Carrollton; and Harry Brackin, of Algonquin. One brother and one sister, Jacob Busby, of Bowerston and Mrs. Jennie Stahl, of Annapolis, are living. She was converted 47 years ago. She was a loving Christian wife and mother, and was loved by all those who knew her. She was a patient sufferer and realized that the end was near and told those about her she was ready and willing to die.}
