Alexander was the son of Jacob Sprinkle & Susan.

He married Susan Scott, 22 Nov 1865, Lewis Co., KY.

Census records show that Susan gave birth to five children. Only two reached maturity: Ida May (McKellup & Gebhart) & Charles Elisha.

Alexander was a Civil War veteran. He served in Co. A, 45th KY Infantry from 1862-1864.

Note that although his year of death on his tombstone looks like 1926, on close inspection, it is correctly 1925.
